Happiness
A foray into semi abstract painting methods led to an exploration of techniques and the idea of pushing the limits of an image. I was happiest when this piece suggested the essence of a floral form, and at this point I realised that happiness can grow even when we don’t really know where we could end up, it’s the journey or the process we need the courage to undertake, and luckily are rewarded with something of beauty. From a series I love to create of whimsy filled gardens. Watching flowers unfold from buds to bloom and even seed pods left to scatter seeds for the next spring growth. It is a magical cycle in the garden, one just has to slow down and observe.
This artwork in acrylic paint is finished with a painted edge on a 2 inch thick stretched gallery canvas. It is unframed.
