Kakadu Lillies

A memorable trip to the Northern Territory found us on a sunset tour on a waterway inside Kakadu National Park. While the waters are still,  but teaming with hidden aquatic life the sheer numbers of flowering water lilies gave rise to pure joy, followed quickly by pure despair when I realised my camera battery had run out. They had stuck in my memory till I could paint their beauty, but one day I’ll return better equipped to record  them photographically.

This artwork in acrylic paint is finished with a painted edge on a 2 inch thick stretched gallery canvas. It is unframed.
