This Eucalypt species, Mottlecah – flowers in the spring with a brilliant large red flower, but I find the large round leaves equally impressive. It has the largest flowers of the gum species and also has some of the most spectacular bluish-grey to almost white leaves. These have a fine white powdery coating on them and are a tough drought and sun proof mechanism the plant uses for surviving our harsh summers.
