As I have travelled in the endless Pilbara and Kimberly landscapes of Western Australia, I have come to love this combination of soft featherlight Mulla Mulla flowers that grow in the harsh outback conditions. Their softness is contrasted by the scale and ruggedness of the vast landscape, rolling outcrops of spinifex covered hills and escarpments being slowly eroded by wind and time. This time of year when they bloom in vast swathes is a joy to witness!
