Pincushion Hakeas

Pincushion Hakeas were never in my consciousness until a visit to my now favourite native plant nursery. They had a small tree in full flower and to say I was struck speechless is an understatement! What a gorgeous pincushion of a flower,  a pom pom which is so wonderful I immediately added it to my list of  plants, and happily now have 3 varieties growing.

What I did’t know then, was that the fabulous Red tailed black Cockatoos & Carnaby Black Cockatoos which visit our block, absolutely love the flowers & seeds.  So, a win all round!

This artwork in oil paint is finished with a painted edge on a 1 inch thick stretched gallery canvas. It is unframed.
